Evaluations of Historic Places Eligibility

Hardlines Design Company are experts at providing accurate evaluations of historic places for government and private clients. For each structure evaluated, the architectural and historical significance are examined and taken into account.

All reports evaluating structures for National Register eligibility are developed through:

  • Field surveys
  • Extensive documentary research
  • Literature reviews and oral interviews, when needed

HDC has extensive experience with National Register assessments. Property types evaluated include:

  • Single farmsteads
  • Modest-sized towns with hundreds of buildings
  • Large military installations with thousands of facilities

Our National Register evaluation experience also includes structures other than buildings, such as lock and dam facilities, towers, bridges, and landscape features. HDC has also prepared National Register nominations for individual buildings and districts when needed.
