Historic Building Survey Services

Hardlines Design Company historians conduct historic building surveys anywhere in the United States as part of compliance with Sections 110 and 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966.

Each Historic Building Survey project can include:

  • Literature Reviews
  • Photo Logs
  • Inventory Form Preparation
  • Eligibility Recommendations

HDC historians are able to conduct efficient historic building surveys anywhere in the United States. HDC staff visually examine and record the location, condition, and architectural character of all buildings within a project area. The style and materials of each building or structure are analyzed for age, craftsmanship, and architectural style, and this information is used to supplement data taken from early maps and local histories as part of standard literature reviews and research.
