Cedarville Opera House Construction Underway!

The Cedarville Opera House has been slowly under construction with exploratory demolition and structural reinforcement, and on May 28 as part of the re-roofing, the reconstructed steeple was installed on the hose tower by Midstate Contractors. The hose tower originally served the fire station that was on the first floor and the steeple was removed at one point after wind damage. The low-slope roof has been leaking ever since so the team reconstructed the steeple from historic photographs to better shed the water. Once the exterior envelope has been secured, interior finish work will begin with an anticipated completion date in December 2026.
