Hardlines Design Company (HDC) prepared Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Integrated Cultural Resources Management Plan (ICRMP) in 1997 and updated this plan in 1999 and 2006. The ICRMP includes standard operating procedures for historic building maintenance, recommendations for plan updates, mitigation measures for proposed undertakings, and formal programmatic agreements to be signed by the client and the State Historic Preservation Office. The 2011 ICRMP incorporates recent revisions to cultural resource laws and regulations. The plan identifies approximately 257 historic buildings, three historic districts, numerous archaeological sites, two historic cemeteries (Cox and Landis-Shank), and historic landscape features such as fountains.
