SOJOURNER CENTER IS COMPLETE!

On the day before Thanksgiving 2002, Hardlines Design Company's design for the new Sojourner Recovery Services center was officially completed. The 7,000 square foot facility houses administrative offices, a daycare center, counselor offices, and group therapy rooms. One of the design highlights is the octagonal entry rotunda, lit by clerestory windows, that Luceille Fleming, Director of the Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addition Services, praised as a "warm welcome" for patients and workers alike at the December 16, 2002, building dedication.

HARDLINES COMPLETES FIELD WORK AT REMAINING AFMC BASES

HARDLINES CONDUCTS EXCAVATIONS IN LAWRENCE COUNTY

Utilizing our fluxgate gradiometer, HDC employed remote sensing techniques at three sites in Lawrence County to identify areas having a high potential for yielding subsurface evidence of prehistoric activities. Excavations involved both manual unit excavations and the use of a backhoe to strip large areas. HDC documented evidence of prehistoric human occupation spanning at least a 2,000 year period from 1,000 B.C. to 1,000 A.D. Ongoing analysis of the artifacts collected by HDC will aid in refining this time line as well as providing information on the day-to-day life of prehistoric Ohioans.

HARDLINES CONTINUES WORK AT NASA-GLENN RESEARCH CENTER

Hardlines Design Company has completed Level I HAER documentation of Building 100, the Control Room, and is finishing work on the actual testing facility itself. The image below is an in-house CAD rendering of the test stand, which highlights the "scrubber," a stack that cleansed engine exhaust prior to its release into the atmosphere. Remaining work includes production of videos, conservation of a historic model, and creation of a museum display.

BAGLE THE BEAGLE

Bagle the Beagle turns 11 years old this spring. Although still pretty spry and agile, she is considered a senior citizen, and as such, thinks that she deserves to rest whenever she feels like it. In this photo, Bagle attempts to take a nap on the couch but just can't get away from the photographer!
